SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed about the higher quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional SRDSRD office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The company point produced for intervention encounters a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to permit the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
